We met Danielle at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where she got ready and put on her intricate gown by Maggie Sottero. The groom, Rajiv, put his suit and other finishing touches on at his apartment. The couple had their first look at each other on the hotel’s rooftop garden, with the city skyline behind them. Just before the ceremony, we took the couple to Grand Central for a little photo shoot, where they had fun posing and running around, all while being observed by the smiling faces of strangers in the area. Danielle and Rajiv then made their way to Guastavino’s for the ceremony and reception. The couple made their ceremony unique by incorporating two special traditions – walking around fire, which is an Indian tradition, and the breaking of glass, which is Jewish. The beautiful flower arrangements were provided by H Bloom. After saying “I do”, the party moved to the dance floor, where guests enjoyed music by Jerry Kravat. The entire scene was lit by the warm glows of candlelight and ethereal purple lighting – it was a magical night full of dancing and happiness.
